challenge

instagram challenged us to show up at art basel miami in ‘21 with the theme of “the art in music” as the north star.

opportunity
music is an art form that is the root of so many other forms of expression, like photography, performance, and dance. instagram is uniquely positioned to connect music and art through an experience unique to the brand.

approach

for art basel we built “casa instagram,” a two-day experiential event showcasing gen-z’s impact on the art of music. we did this through artist performances by baby tate and quavo, creator conversations, art displays highlighting young music photographers, and interactive elements throughout the space for consumers to engage with the brand and with the city of miami.

to extend the moment beyond basel weekend, throughout the experience we encouraged attendees to share and post on instagram during the event through branded moments in high-traffic areas featuring our hashtag #casainstagram, a branded photobooth, and merch customization stations.
