NYC nightlife took a massive hit during COVID. DJs were out of work. staple venues shut down. as the world began to open back up and parties resumed, party-goers began to search for something to get them off the couch and back onto the dance floor.

insight

party-goers are tired of hearing the same five records played at every party. DJs are afraid of taking risks for fear of losing the crowd.

opportunity
what if there was a party that challenged both the DJ and the party-goer?

strategy

introducing deepcuts. the DJ has only one job— to play records people haven’t heard (yet). b-sides. emerging artists. records that we know and love presented in a completely new way.

approach

the approach is simple. we invite the coolest kids out to the coolest venues in the city (Cafe Ezrulie, Baby’s All Right, Wandering Barman, SNS); we curate a DJ lineup filled with DJs with deep crates and build community around emerging artists and music.
